Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Droot Inc (“we”, “us”), the company that operates Recordal. By using Recordal you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
What Recordal does
Recordal emails you a daily digest of new interviews, talks and public appearances by the public figures you choose to follow. We find these from public sources; we do not host or control the underlying content.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13, or the minimum digital-consent age in your country (as high as 16 in parts of the EU and EEA), to use Recordal. It is not directed at children.
Your account
You sign in with a link we email you, or with Google — there is no password. Keep access to your email secure, since anyone who can read it can sign in as you. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Acceptable use
When you use Recordal, you agree not to:
- break, overload, or interfere with the service or the systems behind it;
- scrape or bulk-extract content from it;
- use it to break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
- try to access another person’s account or data.
Content and accuracy
The links and summaries in your digest point to content published elsewhere, which we do not control. Appearances are found automatically, so they may be incomplete, out of date, or occasionally wrong, and including something is not an endorsement of it. Always check the original source.
Recordal uses YouTube API Services to check public facts about YouTube videos it features. By using Recordal you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
Asking us to track someone
You can suggest a person for us to follow. We decide whether to add them. Please don’t submit private information about other people.
Availability and changes
Recordal is free to use while we build it. We may add, change or remove features, and if we make a material change we’ll tell you. We can’t promise the service will always be available or uninterrupted.
Ending your use
You can delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or end access if these terms are misused, or where we need to in order to comply with the law.
No warranty
Recordal is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don’t warrant that the service will be error-free, secure, or that the appearances it surfaces are complete or accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of Recordal, and nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Recordal changes. If we make a material change we’ll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, ask you to agree again.
